Developing an online identity for one of Britain’s historical heart
Wiltshire is one of the UK’s most beautiful countryside holiday destinations, incorporating leading national sites and destinations such as Stonehenge and the historic city of Salisbury. We were commissioned to develop the online presence of the county and introduce the destination to a new generation of holidaymakers through an integrated digital and above-the-line marketing strategy using posters and press.
Our experience in the destination marketing sector lead us to recommended a flexible cross-media strategy, harnessing audience profile data from multiple planning sources in order to construct a robust year round marketing presence for Visit Wiltshire.
Ongoing activity included an overarching SEM strategy, raising and optimising Visit Wiltshire’s visibility within search results to deliver high quality leads to accommodation, attraction, and event pages on the website. In synergy with this, impactful Programmatic creative campaigns were deployed across multiple Video, Display and Social networks to raise the profile of the destination with a range of new and returning audience segments.
