A new university is a rare and exciting event, but it is also one that has to take into account the views of many stakeholders – students, staff and the local business and political community.
Because of RH’s extensive experience in the Higher Education sector, Bridgwater and Taunton College approached us to develop the branding for the new University Centre Somerset and plan a marketing campaign to launch it to the world.
RH wanted the new university branding to be grounded in, and reflective of, its location. So, after extensive research we developed the heraldic dragon logo which is inspired by Somerset’s long association with the mythical beast, stretching back over 1,000 years.
Once the logo had been agreed we developed a launch campaign which featured online adverts, posters and an online film to promote the launch event and Open Evening.
